Central Nepal's Pokhara is a city on the Phewa Lake. It is recognised as a starting point for the famed Himalayan path known as the Annapurna Circuit. On an island in the lake lies the two-story pagoda known as Tal Barahi Temple. Restaurants and yoga studios can be found in the Lakeside neighbourhood on the eastern shore. The International Mountain Museum in the city's south features displays on the history of mountaineering and the inhabitants of the Himalayas.
